THE BUILDING

The Woodstock Industrial Cnetre is a two buildings complex locate at 66-68 Albert Road, Woodstock.

Builded in the early 1900 by British General Electric Company it was a two stories high building. In 1947 an extenuation of the original building which included a new 4 floors building and an extra floor on the original building and two manually operated goods lifts were installed.

In 1963 the building was bought by a group of investors lead by Monty and Louis Mazinter who in 1965 build a five floors, 6000 square meter building at the back. the building was designed to accommodate the textile industry which in those days was the biggest industry in the Western Cape and was well established in Woodstock. during the seventies and the eighties the industry was flourishing and the building was tenanted to capacity and three bridges were build allow tenants to expand their business.
