Love and Hate is an illustration , design and painting studio set up in 2004 by 35-10-73 (ELOISE) and BLACK KOKI. Both artists, one with a background in design, fashion and illustration, the other in illustration and painting are currently based in Cape Town.
Dichotomy plays an important role in their work; contrasts are their source of inspiration, and their work is characterized by a strong black-and-white relationship. After years of producing work for, as well as hosting and curating exhibitions, collaborating with various brands, limited editions of t-shirts, fashion accessories and zines, their new workplace (a large industrial space in Woodstock) is being geared up more and more towards larger-scale productions and projects.
